Cocoon

Coming from elsewhere or nowhere, a swarm of luminous cocoons have settled, for a single winter, in the branches of the trees of the Jardin Anglais. Who are these creatures, which seem to have been generated by Nature unchained, born of a prehistoric era or a transgenic future?
Barely perceptible chimes, sounds jolted by the winds, make themselves heard. Sharp-eared visitors may gradually perceive the scattered notes of a lullaby, echoes of a music box coming from above.
These sounds are emitted by the cocoons, as if to emphasize their numbness by diffusing a subliminal message inviting to hibernation and reverie.

35 luminous cocoons fixed on 7 trees. Sound installation: each cocoons shelters a case which contains a motor-activated music box
